ICONS atlas online
The ICONSatlas (Atlas of IntraCONtinental sedimentary basinS) is online and accessible through the EarthByte webpages (www.earthbyte.org). The atlas is a compilation of crustal properties of more than 240 intracontinental basins globally using openly available data. It represents Chapter 4 of my PhD Thesis (email me for a PDF).

PhD submitted!
I have submitted my Ph.D. on 'The formation and evolution of intracontinental basins' on 04.04.2007. I expect to update the ICONS framework pages over the next couple of days.
The ICONS framework
The ICONS section of my research page has been slightly updated in anticipation of more news and a separate site for the ICONS project. This will be updated with my Ph.D. work over the next couple of weeks. For now the ICONS page is a first start. I have planned to publish most of the ICONS work online within the EarthByte framework as soon as the thesis accepted.
Current PhD status
Just a quick update regarding the progress of my PhD work. I am currently working on quantifying the amount of dynamic topography contributing to the subsidence of sedimentary basins. I'm looking into some examples from Australia and the West Siberian Basin in order to constrain our model output with stratigraphic and other geological data. This will likely be finished within the next 2 weeks - with maps and hopefully some animations.
