Project Details

This study investigates the experiences of LGBTI populations impacted by disasters in Australia and New Zealand. Disasters research shows the importance of social factors in determining vulnerability and resilience during the planning, impact and recovery phases of a disaster. The study seeks to better understand impacts on LGBTI health, community and relationships and to examine issues of inclusiveness in disaster risk reduction and emergency management policies.
