Research Interests
Dr. Hale’s research focuses upon developing computational models of volcanic and subduction processes using the finite element method. She has a Ph.D. in Computational Volcanology, awarded January 2005, from the University of Reading, UK and two Master degrees in physics, a first class degree with honours (M.Phys.) and a research Master degree (M.Phil.), both from the University of Lancaster, UK. She received funding for a three-year discovery project research grant from the Australian Research Council to commence January 2007 with the title “Computationally Modelling a Volcano: Flow and Stability”.
